Tubing Types:
ASTM A513: Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) and Drawn Over Mandrel (DOM)
ASTM A519: Hot Finished Seamless (HF Seamless) and Cold Drawn Seamless (CD Seamless)
ASTM A53: Pipe (Bare and Black)
ASTM A500: Structural Tubing
Characteristics: Uncoated, finish is dependent on type. ERW has a semi-smooth light gray finish. DOM and CD Seamless have a black or dark brown finish. HF Seamless has a semi-smooth gray finish. Bare pipe has a semi-smooth gray finish, while black pipe has a black finish. Workability: Excellent candidates for most processing techniques. |
